SUZUKI CORPORATION ENGINEERS COMBINE HIGH POWER AND MAXIMUM EFFICIENCY IN THE NEW ENGINE
Suzuki Corporation engineers set themselves the task of developing a compact, lightweight outboard motor that, at the same time, would be as powerful as needed. In addition, their goal was to make the new DF325A engine run on low-octane fuel (not lower than AI-91). All this, combined with unsurpassed reliability, makes the new motor model ideal for a wide variety of large boats and boats around the world. The new propeller design not only generates the thrust needed to propel it forward, but also generates a significant amount of rotational energy. Suzuki Corporation engineers were able to use this "wasted" energy to improve performance with the revolutionary technology of two counter-rotating propellers.
SUZUKI DUAL PROP SYSTEM (TWO COUNTER-ROTATING PROPELLERS) IS A REVOLUTION AMONG PROPELLERS
Suzuki Corporation engineers are very well aware that the shape of the gearbox and the design of the propeller greatly affect the performance of the motor. The innovative design of the counter-rotating propellers provides good traction in the water, and it is also thanks to the design that a more compact, streamlined and hydrodynamic gearbox has been designed. The torque is equally distributed between the two screws, thus reducing the load on one screw.

One of the notable advantages of the motor is its exceptional directional stability, which is achieved by turning the propellers in the opposite direction.
TWO FUEL INJECTORS FOR COOLING AND POWER
Fuel injection provides fuel atomization and cylinder cooling. To provide the necessary power and cooling, fuel is injected at a strictly defined time and at the required angle. The new system consists of two small fuel injectors that provide high accuracy, fast atomization and fuel efficiency.
ATTENTION TO DETAIL - TECHNOLOGICALLY PERFECT PISTONS
Due to the high compression ratio (10.5:1), pistons require more advanced technology than before. Not only the surface of the piston, but also the connecting rod, other metal products must withstand heavy loads. To help the piston handle the extra lateral pressure, the decision was made to switch from standard assembly heat treatment to shot peening. Shot peened technology produces a rough, clean surface which in turn evenly distributes the pressure generated during combustion. This is a more expensive and complex technology, but it is she who makes such a piston, which has the right to be called "the best".
DIRECT DOUBLE STAGE INLET SYSTEM FOR COOLING AND DRYING AIR
Thanks to the direct two-stage intake system, already cooled dry air enters the engine. This revolutionary approach ensures a direct air flow and at the same time prevents water from entering the motor.
